The Perfect Bride
"From the day I began wedding planning I knew Mae was my first choice for both my wedding and my cultural reception. I've had the pleasure to have Mae as my make-up artist for the last 3 years for all of my medical school proms and had built a beautiful friendship with her. Booking with her was such a breeze, she is responsive and committed to making sure you are both on the same page. Furthermore, Mae worked to accommodate my schedule, not only was part one of the wedding out of state but I was out of state the whole year leading up to the wedding. Mae made sure we scheduled my trial and facial as my schedule continued to develop and was extremely flexible. I had my facial about a month out from the wedding and she made sure I was glowing and gave me recommendations of how to take care of my skin for the next month. She even found one of my bridesmaids on her flight to the wedding and gave her an enzyme mask WITH instructions to give to me the night of the rehearsal. Needless to say my skin was glowing and prime for the make-up application day of. A major plus about Mae is that she is respectful of the time set by the coordinator, and worked seamlessly with my hairstylist to make sure I was ready for pictures. Choosing Mae as my makeup artist for my wedding was an obvious choice. I’ve known Mae since high school and she has always been brilliant. I had always said she would do my wedding makeup someday, and so she did! Mae was amazing from my trial to my wedding day. I can honestly say I have never felt more beautiful in my life thus far.
During my trial makeup run, she was thorough in asking what I wanted for my big day. She checked in with me and asked if I was liking how it was looking through the whole process. She also asked about my skin (I’m very oily) and tailored the makeup to that concern. Once we were finished she told me to let her know how it held up and if I wanted to make any changes. She also gave me a mini face mask to do the night before the wedding, and it was so good. My skin felt amazing after.
On wedding day, Mae was right on time and brought all the energy with her. She made me feel so confident during the whole process! As a bride in 2020 and as someone who has dealt with adult-hormonal cystic acne, I am unsure if I would have made it to my wedding day not just without a break-out, but with staying present and grounded through this journey if it wasn't for Mae. As soon as I got engaged in 2019 I knew I wanted to start a regime with her and for her to do my bridal makeup.
